Lydia E. Hsu

Partner | Certified Family Law Specialist*

As certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

Lydia E. Hsu is dedicated to guiding clients through complex and sensitive family law matters with expertise, empathy and unwavering commitment. As a Certified Family Law Specialist (certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization) and Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), Lydia has helped a diverse array of clients – from business owners and physicians to parents and grandparents – navigate complex family law matters with clarity and confidence.

Whether she’s helping a parent secure a fair custody arrangement or negotiating a high-stakes property division, Lydia is known for her practical advice, creative problem-solving, and fierce advocacy. She believes every client should understand their options and feel empowered at every step, whether resolving matters through mediation, alternative dispute resolution or litigation. Her practice encompasses all aspects of family law, including child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, property identification, characterization, valuation and division, reimbursement claims, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and domestic violence matters. She also represents clients in guardianship proceedings and step-parent adoptions.

Since 2009, Lydia’s dedication has extended beyond her clients: she volunteers as a Family Court settlement officer in Santa Clara County and has worked with nonprofits supporting survivors of domestic violence. Her peers have recognized her commitment to excellence with inclusion on the Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list every year since 2018.
